KICKING K8 Signs With CORPORATE PUNISHMENT RECORDS
July 4, 2007San Diego rockers KICKING K8 have signed a deal with Corporate Punishment Records. The group's debut album is scheduled for release on October 9.
For KICKING K8, the past two years of cultivating a fan base and non-stop touring has paid off. "We were in talks with CPR for over a year and the timing was just right now to do the deal," explains drummer Billy Nychay.
The band will take part in a few radio festivals this summer, including Riverfest on July 15 in Beloit, Wisconsin with SALIVA and CROSSFADE and the huge WJJO Band Camp on August 5 with STONE SOUR, SEVENDUST, DOPE, FINGER ELEVEN and more.
The group credits rock station giant WJJO and program director Randy Hawke for the success they have achieved. "Randy and Blake from WJJO were the first major station to go out on a limb for us, and for that we are truly greatful; we'd do anything for those guys," adds Nychay.
KICKING K8 will embark on their first nationwide tour with friends and fellow Jagermeister-sponsored band EVOLOCITY beginning July 27 in Phoenix, Arizona at the Marquee Theatre.
